PADI Dive Master course lessons/classes in Florida close to Tampa & Orlando is a great place if you are thinking about making the first step into the professional side of SCUBA? Scuba as a career? Your advancement to the professional level of recreational scuba diving begins with the becoming a Dive master. Working closely with your PADI Instructor, this program allows you to broaden your dive knowledge and fine tune your skills to the professional level. PADI Dive master training helps you to acquire leadership abilities, qualify's you to supervise dive activities and assist instructors with student divers. PADI Dive master is the first step for both the PADI Assistant Instructor and PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor certifications. You may be able to earn college credit for the PADI Dive master course.
What will I do in the PADI Dive Master course?
During the PADI Dive master program, you learn dive leadership skills through both classroom and independent study. Want a jump start on the curriculum start with Elearning
additional fees apply. You complete water skills and stamina exercises, as well as training exercises that stretch your ability to organize and solve problems as well as help others. You put this knowledge into action through a structured internship or series of practical training exercises.
What can I Teach?
After becoming certified as a PADI Dive master you will be authorized to:
- surface swims to and from the entry/exit point and during navigational exercises
- when the instructor conducts a skill, such as an ascent or descent, a Dive master can remain with other student divers (with an individual student or buddy team)
What Does the PADI Dive Master course Cost?
The cost of the Dive master class is $1200.00 whether you choose an internship structure or a roll play structure. This includes books and training time. It is highly recommended that you own all your own scuba equipment at this level of training. Any entry or boat fees are the responsibility of the dive master candidate.Prerequisites for the PADI Dive Master course
To take this course, you must be:
18 years old
A PADI Advanced Open Water Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization)
A PADI Rescue Diver (or qualifying certification from another training organization)
An Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care (or qualifying first aid and CPR training from another organization) course completion within the past 24 months.
Have at least 40 dives to begin the course and 60 for certification.
